Giggles is now 18 months old (plus a few days). She loves the bathtub. She loves moving around in the bathtub. She loves standing up in the bathtub.
She hates being told not to do any of those things.
She’s pretty sure those activities are protected in the Declaration of Independence.
Telling her to sit down causes her to yell her disagreement. But there is one easy way to get her to sit down and scramble to the furthest corner of the tub.
Just reach out both of your hands like you are planning to grab her and take her out of the tub.
I call that my right to bear arms and for now it seems to trump her right to life, liberty and the pursuit of splashiness.
