On January 1st, 2008 I weighed 218 pounds.
Today I weigh 188 pounds.
That’s 30 pounds that I’ve lost since my peak and 16 pounds this year with almost all of the weight this year happening in the last couple months. Geetle weighs less than 30 pounds and I get worn out carrying her for more than a few minutes. I don’t know how I survived walking up stairs at 218.
Now that fall is arriving, I am starting to wear jeans instead of shorts. I had to go out and buy my first new clothes because all of my old jeans hang way down too low on my hips.
If I get bored some day, I’ll write a post about how I’m working on my food intake which is really the biggest change that I’ve made in the last couple months. The other big change is that I’ve been running a lot again. Here’s my running workout spreadsheet for anybody interested. I’ve also been doing a little bit of weight lifting a few times a week.
I’ve been working at home for a few months now and have a couple more to go. I decided to take advantage of it because it is so much easier to keep track of what you eat and make good eating decisions at home than at the office. My big test will start when this project ends at the end of November.
