We go to my wife’s family on Thanksgiving day and my family on Christmas day. So, on the day after Thanksgiving we go to my parents’ house for a second Thanksgiving dinner. Pretty sweet deal.

My mom makes turkey and ham (since I can’t eat turkey) and all kinds of normal trimmings including some sweet potato thing with a lot of sugar and butter. My personal favorite.

The tradition is coming to an end this year.

This year we are going to have enchiladas and tacos to save my mom from some of the work in the kitchen. I love tacos, so I’m pretty excited. But, I will miss that sweet potato thing. I might have to try and get ahold of the recipe and make it for myself someday.

Mmmm… sweet potato casserole is one of my all-time favorites. We can hook you up with a recipe if you need one.

Last year we grilled. Sometimes it is hard to keep up with some of the traditions… However, it is fun to start new ones.
