Snow Day – Playing in the snow

At 3:30 Beagooddad finished his work day in the basement and joined us upstairs. Twice, earlier in the day, Pookie, Geetle and I had gone outside to play in the snow for a bit. Now that he was done working, we went outside together for the real fun.

Beagooddad made a snow pile for the kids to slide down on their bellies. We put water and a few drops of food coloring in a sports bottle and drew in the snow with the colored water. We played with toy shovels and just stomped around. Geetle gave a sled ride to a curved neck pillow that she found in the garage. Pookie managed to keep his spirits up and play on…even though his left boot kept falling off.

Lots of fun.

I would have never thought to make the colored water. What a great idea! We’re thinking of taking the family to see snow in January. I’ll have to keep that in mind.
