As our snow day drew to an end, I wish I could say we had a super-fun dinner, but we didn’t. I had already planned Pineapple Salmon and Sauted Corn and Broccoli (from our freezer, see my sermon on OAMC). So the kids did their best. They only like “fish-meat” with ketchup. But they each ate a reasonable amount.
Then we had to go to the body shop to pick up our minivan. It was finally done after 15 days! (see Beagooddad’s open comments to a certain hit-and-run driver).
Boring. Boring. Boring. Not the way we wanted to end super-fun-first-snow-day. So, we decided to go to McDonalds for a treat. Geetle knew exactly what she wanted, a plain vanilla cone. Pookie was not confident in his decision, so we asked the McD girl for a picture menu so he could point to what he wanted. In the end, he also chose a vanilla cone. Our McDonalds has a HUGE projection TV in the dining room, so we enjoyed our ice cream while watching SpongeBob SquarePants.
We returned home, got ready for bed, read “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” and “Arthur’s Really Useful Word Book”
and went to bed.
It was a super-fun-first-snow-day after all.
