The Sixth Sense

I think Pookie truly believes that he can experience things thru his heiney and feet. He stands on everything. Things he does not stand on…he sits on. Then he pauses and seems to be contemplating the sensations or energy he is absorbing from the item. What is up with that? I know preschoolers are very tactile, but why the heiney and feet?

I don’t know if this is the case with Pookie, but with autism can come sensory integration disorders. I have sensory integration issues, and when I was younger, I used to touch things with my elbows. I think touching things with my hands would sometimes be an overload for me (I still have to touch certain fabrics with the back of my hand only).
