Yesterday a couple things happened that just had to be a sign of something. First, my site was reviewed by Mom Gadget. One of the things that I mentioned agreeing about the review with is that I need to link to others more. I’ll be honest. The only reason that I don’t do it more is that recently I haven’t had as much time to read as I would like. I’m working on it.
The same day, I received an email from Trevor Carpenter mentioning a post he had written that I might be interested in about a day he watched his 4 kids while his wife went to the spa. Good job Trevor. Go read the post to see all the things they did complete with pictures. We need more to hear more stories of parents doing nice stuff with their kids. They help keep all of us thinking about being good parents and put ideas in our heads of things we can do with our kids. There’s already plenty of stuff about Parents Behaving Badly to keep us entertained and informed on what not to do.
There are a lot of dads working everyday to be the best dad they can be. Maybe I should get some Be A Good Dad t-shirts made up. In the meantime, if anybody else with some stories they would like me to mention, send them to me using the Contact Me under the banner. If I like them, I’ll talk about them. Flood the inbox.

Thanks for the plug man. With so many broken families and dad’s taking the easy way out, I just figure that those of us who take our role seriously ought to shout it from the mountaintops. I’m not arrogant, I just think we can’t be silent about it. A lot of dads would do more and be more, if they figured it was worth it.
We can encourage them.
My pleasure Trevor. The only way I learned to be a decent parent was by watching other decent parents. The more information available on good things that parents can do, the better off parents will end up being.
Happened across your website and added the feed to my RSS reader. I love your website and was compelled to comment. I am sure there are a few good family entries on my blog. (Speaking of Good Dads) I can’t wait to see my newborn Sophia Lorraine Martin on July 3rd – her due date! Check out http://davidmartindesign.com/blog/?cat=3
