Shopping for maternity clothes

We went shopping for maternity clothes last night. Nothing says pregnancy quite like jeans with the stretchy panel.

We wandered around the mall for a couple hours (we also renewed our cell phone contract and picked up new phones which takes forever). After picking up a couple lemonades, we really hit the maternity clothes racks.

BeAGoodMom could not find any shirts or underclothes that made her happy. She was able to find a handful of pants to get her started.

Then she was able to find me in the bookstore reading a book after my feet got too tired to keep up with her.

Oh man, I hate maternity clothes. We spent some time at the mall this afternoon as well ;) . Did she look at Old Navy?? I think that’s the only place I found decent stuff. For tops, I think if I did get pregnant again, I’d just get the longer regular tops that are a little looser. But I’m tiny and didn’t get too huge with the little guy either.

They actually have some pretty cute things now. And since Spring is coming up, I’m sure they’ll have a lot of florals. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, they only had those huge tent-like tops. Not very flattering!

I have absolutely no fashion sense whatsoever, but it did look like a lot of the maternity clothes do a pretty good job of looking like normal clothes instead of tents. It seems tough to pick out clothes when she is not really obviously ready for them.
