There has to be an important lesson here

I’ve been going to the gym every couple of days to workout.  I also quit drinking all pop 4 months and 1 day ago.  I had been drinking 100+ ounces of Pepsi/Mt. Dew a day.

So, does this make me a bad person?

While walking into the gym today, I saw two 20 something women who had just finished their work out.  They were standing outside in their workout gear smoking cigarettes.  As I passed them, I thought to myself “What’s the point of pretending to take care of your body only to end up smoking when you are done working out?”

For the record, all I have eaten today is a Totinos Frozen Pizza and some ice cream with chocolate sauce.  And I’m thinking of getting some more ice cream before I go to bed.

I’m sure there’s some kind of important life lesson that I could be teaching myself about all of this but it escapes me for now.  It was a very long work day and I just want to finish this project so I can go to bed.  I’ll let you figure out that life lesson for yourselves this time.

I love my Mt. Dew. I’ve gone to the mini 8oz cans to make myself feel better. I’m trying to get down to only a few a week instead of one nearly daily but it’s all about little steps. There are so many worse things I could be doing or not doing and so many more things I could be doing better. I think it’s a continual process and simply being aware is the most important step.

Hugs,
Holly

Smoking is definitely worst for your body than a Totinos pizza!

You sound like you took the same nutrition class that I did.
