First cry, then car

Pookie is doing a much better job of understanding his emotions. He’s starting to tell us when he is sad, when stuff is good, when he gets a booboo.

He is also doing a good job of understanding sequencing. We’ll often tell him stuff like, “First change your pull up, then have dinner” or “First put on jammies, then story time.”

Yesterday, while I was working on the fence project with my dad, BeAGoodMom brought the kids outside to plant some seeds in little starter cups. Then she brought them into the backyard to watch the progress.

Pookie wanted to get in the car and go somewhere instead. BeAGoodMom wanted to keep the kids at home because they were gone all day Saturday and the kids are getting some runny noses.

Pookie cried when he realized they were not going anywhere. Then he sat on BeAGoodMom’s lap giving her a big hug while crying some more. Then BeAGoodMom and Pookie had this conversation:

cry then car small
