We have one frozen embryo left over from the original egg retrieval now that all of our IVF procedures are done. A few days back we received the storage bill again. We have been paying about $150/quarter to store the embryos.

Today we are going to the Notary Public to sign the document saying that we are done with storage.

We have 3 options for how to handle the remaining embryo:

  • Donate it to potentially be used by another person
  • Destroy it
  • Donate it to science

We decided that we are going to donate it to science.

One of the side effects of this decision is that Taco Supreme will be our last kid. We are not going to go through another egg retrieval. Don’t expect any more big pregnancy announcements in the years to come.
