I hope you have a good time at the two games you are able to go to. We haven't brought our daughter to any games yet but look forward to doing that.

Our is mostly a money issue than anything else. We are lucky, though, that we only live ten miles from the stadium.

That's a bummer that your kid got sick. I'm glad to hear that he still wants to go back, though...even if he is being groomed to be a Gator fan :)

I've been going to the games whenever I wasn't in college or the military with my dad (and my sister started coming too a few years back). It is a really great way to get some special family bonding.

The nice thing about the early season cupcake games is that I am normally ready to leave by halftime anyway between the heat and the boring game.

Make sure you take them to a game you don't mind leaving early. :) We took Little E to his first Gator football game last weekend (he'll be 5 in October). He made it through kickoff and the first possession, then had to go to the bathroom. He and his Daddy never returned! He was really excited about going, and had watched the games on TV with me, but I think the crowd and the heat were just too much (it was a midday game at roughly 95 degrees with about 90% humidity...and 96,000 of our closest friends). He ended up being sick, ultimately, so I should give him props. He said he wants to go back again soon, but as the season picks up and so does the competition, it's not likely to be this year!
