I read a post the other day that I wanted to leave a comment on but it was a Blogger blog and only allowed comments for people with a magic Blogger account which I don’t use anymore.
Anyway, the post is about an autistic boy frustrated that he started school a week later than his twin.
We went through that last week when Pookie had to watch his sister get on the bus for a week.
To distract him, we had him visit me in the computer room a couple times while BeAGoodMom put Geetle on the bus. We also worked on explaining to him that he was not going to school until the following week.
I happened to be the one that put him on the bus for his first day on Tuesday. We were playing in the front yard having a good time while we waited. But as soon as the bus pulled up to the curb, Pookie dashed right on over, ran all the way to the back and buckled himself in with a smile on his face.
Maybe the extra week waiting helped build the excitement.

The part about the big smile on his face is so important to me. I am so happy that he is so happy. Love MOM
That would be tough on a twin. I’m glad everything went well, though.
oh, you should have emailed! How did the extra week of one-on-one time work for YOU? All’s right in the world now, though. But S. still wants to get on J.’s bus!
