When getting ready in the morning I would talk to my daughter about the friends that she would get to see. She's used to preschool now and the routine, so it's not a big deal anymore, but I know it used to be. Also, I'm a preschool teacher and here's a song I use to help my kids feel better about preschool. It's to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell". 1. I like to go to school. I like to go to school. Hi-ho the derry-o, I like to go to school. 2. I like to play with friends . . . 3. I like to sing new songs . . . I found it helps to find out who their close friends are. We were always careful to not talk about any "FUN " that may have occured here at home while the kids were gone. Just help them understand that you are just waiting for him or her to come back and then "fun" begins again. Sounds like you are on the right track.
