You are right on the mark with this one...I totally agree. I have observed this to be true in the lives of many of my friends also. It is just plain irresponsible for a 19 year old student to go away to college and waste two or four years of their lives doing things that do not further their careers. The world is real ...that is not....and it does not prepare them for "real" I think that by 19 a student should have some awareness of the importance of time and money and I also give much responsibility to the parents who make this waste possible. They say they need to let them "get away" and "learn about life...the way it is going to be." But many of the things that students become involved in during that time is "not the way it is going to be" and some of these things scar them for life. I feel like this all sounds bitter and negative for me to write andI am not bitter and negative....this is just what I think. Love MOM
