That Was Not The Baby
Post written by: beagooddad
BeAGoodMom and I were cleaning up the kitchen getting ready for bed. She said, and I quote, “That was a little squishy.” I have no idea what that means but she was touching her belly so I started getting ready to head to the hospital. Then we heard a thump on the ground between her feet. We both immediately looked. It was a piece of chewed up gum in the wrapping paper.
I’m not sure why would would have expected the baby to just fall out. BeAGoodMom is wearing pants. That baby isn’t falling anywhere tonight.

I coudl not help but laugh at that! Perhaps as you’ve both been waiting so long, all sense of logic has just flown out the window? BAGM has the excuse of having ‘Baby brain’ if she needs it though
When my mother was expecting me, shr refused to go to the sup-ermarket towards the end of the pregnancy, because she was adament I was going to drop out, somewhere near the bacon counter!

One of my favorite scenes in the TV show Murphy Brown is when Murphy is in labor at the hospital and walking around the halls in her hospital gown. The little program manager guy sees her, sprints down the hall, dives between her legs with his hands ready to catch the falling baby.
If only it were that easy.
