I was dreading it a little because it was sooo hot, but the heat really didn't end up bothering us very much. A PYO veggie patch would be a lot of fun, too. The kids would love actually pulling stuff out of the ground, I think. It was a lot of fun. We loved the PYO veggie patch. The kids have such a great time! We had so many vegetables and no big freezer. Now we have the freezer so next year canning- perhaps?
