We still haven’t had the baby yet, but today is the due date. And BeAGoodMom has been having some very mild contractions about every 15 minutes or so. Hopefully, that will pick up some speed so we can get this baby born tonight.
Do you get some kind of prize if your baby is born on her due date?

a baby??? What…you need more? That’s all you two have been blogging about for weeks. Tell you what, I shall give you a hearty handshake as a parting gift…Sound good?
My son was born on his due date. So it is possible. I’ll be thinking of you guys. I know she is probably miserable. Tell her to take a walk or something. Sometimes walking can help bring on labor.
you could get a super-average baby. I was like that. born on my due date, after 12 hours of labor (average for first child), 7lbs 8 oz (average size for a full term baby) and 20 inches long (average).
my mom had just (2 months earlier) finished her residency as chief resident of obstetrics. they joked that she knew what she was doing.
I apparently decided then and there to never be average again.
the only gift i could think of would be quoting the right date when people ask when the baby was born. none of mine came on their due date and for the first couple weeks i always quoted the due date when asked when they were born. . .
Ummm, yeah a wife that isn’t pissed that she hasn’t had the baby yet.
You will get the gift of being no longer worried that you won’t be home the minute she goes into labor.
