Geetle The Baby Cheerleader

Geetle is approximately one foot from the baby at any given moment while awake and in the house. I’m pretty sure the baby’s first sentence will be, “A little space, please.”

The baby has developed an amazing ability to spit up an ounce or so of formula during a couple feedings a day. It definitely isn’t anything to worry about other than finding ways to keep it from hitting the couch or chair. The baby even managed to spit up all over Geetle’s hand the other day which was pretty hysterical.

Anyway as I mentioned the other day, baby’s are a little boring when you really stop to pay attention to them. Geetle has found one way to keep herself entertained while “helping” feed the baby. She has her own cheer that she chants when the baby is eating. It goes like this:

Push it down.
Push it down.
No yak!
Push it down.
Push it down.
No yak!

It appears to repeat anywhere from 50 to 100 times depending on how long it takes for us to ask her to stop. There are even arm movements which involve taking both of her hands and moving them from her chest to her waist down the center of her body…as if she were pushing the yak down.

Feel free to teach the chant to your children or even your local high school cheer squad if the team is really bad.
