We have a cousin who is under a year old and starting to eat solids.  Cereals and such.

I was thinking back on how that whole process went with our kids and realized it is a bit of a blur.

Fortunately, Tiffany over at electric boogaloo has drawn a nice simple flowchart to show us how the whole process works.
