Best and Worst of 2007

Today is the last day of 2007.  BAGM and I took our first big vacation this year after 8 years of being married so it must have been a special year.

Here are some of my best and worst moments:

Giggles
Best: When she started smiling as soon as I come in the room for the night feedings.
Worst: Projectile spitting up during the mini-cold.

Pookie
Best: The day Pookie and I stayed home and figured out how to pee in the potty.  For some reason that was a day that made me feel like I have some kind of a grip on handling this parenting stuff.
Worst: The monster tantrum after their friend’s bowling birthday party.  At least he apologized completely on his own at the end of it.

Geetle
Best: Watching Geetle get excited watching the Hawkeyes on TV.
Worst: The day Geetle wound up in the emergency room when she fell into the car right in front of me.  After all the times that I have caught her in the past, I still can’t believe I couldn’t catch her that time.

BAGM
Best: The day we found out we were pregnant on our second to last possible IVF transfer.
Worst: Seeing BAGM being wheeled into the emergency room when the doors to the labor and delivery wing opened and not being able to go talk to her until I put on the hospital clothes and they decided whether I was even going to be allowed in during the delivery.

Here’s hoping for many fewer trips to the hospital in 2008.

What a year it’s been for you guys. Here’s to a great 2008 with far more best bits than worst bits.

Staying out of the hospital is a good new year’s resolution. All the best for 2008.
