A little while back my prognosticating wife stated that Giggles was going to be sleeping through the night by January 8th since she would be about the same age as Geetle and Pookie when they started sleeping through.
I didn’t really believe it because we are not working nearly as hard at getting her to do it. She’s just one baby. Who cares if it takes a little while longer?
And I’m not talking about the sissy sleeping through the night where we sneak her a bottle at 10pm before we fall asleep. I’m talking about putting her in the crib between 6 and 7pm and not walking back into the room until 5:30-6am.
My eBook is available for a small fee payable….
Wait. I’m starting to think maybe I’m not the person responsible for the magic.
Here’s what I do:
- Don’t talk to baby during night feeding.
- Change diaper before starting feeding.
- As soon as feeding is done, leave the room.
- After feeding, walk downstairs to get a drink of water and check my websites’ stats.
- Go back to bed.
That’s it. Hell, we don’t even have a consistent nighttime routine these days.
I would also like to point out that maybe she’s just part of a good batch. Let’s not forget that Pookie, Geetle, and Giggles were all conceived from the same egg retrieval. She just stayed frozen longer. Maybe that was just a good bunch of eggs.
