BeAGoodMom and Her Good Deed
Post written by: beagooddad
BeAGoodMom is such a good role model for the kids (and me). Just yesterday, she did yet another good deed for a random stranger which seems to be a life skill that is slowly disappearing in our modern age.
She went to the gym yesterday. With all of the snow we’ve had over the last month, the city and stores have pretty much given up trying to move the snow out of the way. While she was leaving the gym, she saw a car slide and get itself stuck on pile of snow.

Instead of ignoring him and instead of calling for help, she just walked over and offered to help push the car out of the jam. Between the two of them, the car still would not move.
But, because BeAGoodMom is such a good role model, someone nearby noticed the problem and drove his little tow truck over and pulled the guy free. He happened to be a repo man with a heart of gold.
Or maybe BeAGoodMom is just a good role model inspiring those around her to do the right thing.
Would you have done the same thing? I probably wouldn’t have.

Would I do the same thing? I guess it depends on the situation. If I had The Boy in the car and the stuck person was a man and we’re in our city, I might have simply called someone for him. If it were a woman, I probably would have stopped. If it were me alone in the car, it would still depend.
Now– if I were in the small town I grew up in, I’d stop, because 99% of the time I’d know the person!

I remember running out of gas about an hour from anywhere when I was in college. Some girl a couple years older than me stopped and gave me a ride to the nearest gas station (like twenty minutes away). She was very nervous the entire time but I still think about how nice that was every time my gas light comes on in my car.
