I’m the host for this week’s Carnival of Family Life.

For this to work, I need some of you to do some writing.  Here’s how it works.  You write something on your site somehow and someway pertaining to family life.  It could be about your kids, your parents, stories about growing up, handling school, handling family finances, funny pictures, why being married is better than peanut butter, whatever.

Once you have the post up on your site, you let me know about it by using the Carnival’s official submission form.  If you have trouble with that, you can send me the link directly.

Why go through all this work just to make me happy?  On Sunday night, I will gather up all the links and post them on my site.  Then everybody starts clicking through to each other.  Some new people will find your site and you will find some new sites that you will want to keep track of.  It’s a great way to get involved in a community.

I get to pick a random winner who will get a major award from Kailani, the main organizer of the carnival.  The prize is a box of chocolate macadamia nut candy or a bag of Kona coffee from Kailani.  That right there is probably worth the effort of submitting a post.

And if you are really feeling lazy, you can submit an old post from your archives.

You do not have to be a parenting/family blog to participate.  If you write a tech blog or a sports blog or a politics blog or whatever, you can write something appropriate for your site that has some kind of tie in to family life.  Just remember that since this is a family carnival, it should stay somewhere near PG.

The deadline for entrering is Sunday, September 24th at 8pm CT.  Feel free to tell anybody you know about the Carnival.  The more the merrier.
