Illinois has a bill moving through the political system that would guarantee families up to $36,000 to pay for treatments for autism.

Since I have to leave in two minutes to head to the train, here is the link to the bill which passed in the House 50-0.

I need to go through the fine print to see what is covered and what is not. For example, would those computer speaking devices be covered for people that need them to help talk? Would vitamins, lead removal treatments, etc. be covered? Summer programs designed for autistic children?

If anybody knows, please chime in. Hopefully, I’ll have time to sit down for more than 2 minutes to talk about this sometime soon. But for now, off to the bus.
