One of my least favorite parts of Christmas is that stage between when the kids open the presents and when they get to play with them. Clipping through all of the little twist wires and opening all of those evil sealed plastic casings. I just want to get the kids playing with the toys.

Amazon has noticed our frustration and is working with manufactures to change it. Behold! Amazon’s Frustration-Free Packaging.

It uses recyclable packaging, gets rid of all of that excess crap that the stores love to prevent shoplifting, and saves all of us precious moments in an already busy day.

They are starting off with just a handful of items. They have some toys, some SD memory cards, and some computer mice. I have links below to all of the items currently included in the program.

Hopefully this will take off and they’ll introduce a lot more items to ship with this new packaging in the near future.

What do you think of the new packaging? Would you prefer the easy opening and less packaging materials or would you prefer the old packaging because it is prettier and shinier?
